Hey, well, it's Monday again. Isn't it crazy how that happens every week. lol
I had a pretty good weekend. Last week I didn't do much of anything. I went out on Thursday. Walt had asked me if I was going to go to Alibi, so I told him I would. I was in such a great mood that night, I'm not really sure why. I called Walt, and then saw him on the porch. Joe was with him, so I didn't even say hello to Walt when I saw them out on the porch, I told Walt I would meet him inside (on the phone, lol). I went inside, got a drink, and walked over to talk to Brad and Toby.
Walt walked up behind me and grabbed my shoulder, I turned around to see the two of them. I just left my back totally to them and Walt walked around to talk to me. That's the way it has been for quite some time. Joe is my ex, and I pretend I see through him in public. He doesn't exist for me. I got the distinct impression that the same wasn't true the other direction. Everytime he'd come around me I'd find some excuse to go somewhere else. The worst was when he put his hand on my back as he was walking away. I realize it was a nonchalant thing, but when you have an ex who is as bad for you as he is for me, you don't take it that way.
Walt thanked me later on for not telling Joe to go the fuck away. He had told Joe that I was going to be there and that I probably would. I didn't. Like I said, that would require me acknowledging him. He aparently told Walt that, "I've grown, I can talk to Johnny."
On a more positive note, I went on a date over the weekend. On Friday, I was so damn tired I went home and took a disco nap. Walt had told me on Thursday that he was going to come right over after work. So he did. I woke up, took a shot, and was ready to go. I was also in a great mood that night. Walter wasn't feeling too well, so we just hung around the house. Walt doesn't have the internet at his house, so he was glued to my laptop much of the night. I didn't mind. It was fun.
Then, on Saturday, I was supposed to go get dinner with this guy, Joe. He said he was going to call at 6:30, called at 7:30, and I didn't actually talk to him until later than that. So I ate some manicotti that Shane had painstakingly prepared. ;)
Joe came to my house and we decided to go see a movie. He drove to Baywalk and we bought movie tickets for Underworld: Evolution. The movie didn't start for about an hour, so we went up to Wet Willies and sat down. I had a beer and he had some tea. We talked for a while, and actually lost track of time and missed about 10 minutes of the movie. The movie was pretty good though. I really liked the first one, but unfortunately, the details of that movie were pretty vague for me. Fortunately, they had a small recap at the beginning of the sequel to refresh my memory.
Joe dropped me off at my house after the movie. I thought I'd be safe with a hug at the end of the night, not too pushy, if he just wanted to be friends, but more than a hand shake or swift goodbye.
He's definitely a cool guy though. We got along well, and it doesn't hurt that he's wicked cute. :-D
Last night, Walt came over again. I was in the middle of watching a West Wing epsode. Mike has seasons 3 - 6 on his computer, Alvio. After Walt got here, we watched Aeon Flux, which I had seen before, but it's a good movie.
