Wow, everything is too loud today. The smell of food is making me ill...
So, I picked up my glasses on Tuesday after work. Then I went over to Walt's and watched Clockwatchers with him and his neighbor, Michelle. Walt lent me House of Wax and Amityville Horror to watch. On Wednesday, I had to drive up to Pinellas Park to Gateway Center, which is a corporate park, aka, Maze with tree lined streets, to pickup my iPod from FedEx. It is fabulous. I am so in love with it. I have almost 4700 songs on it, videos (lose control, hung up, frozen, desperate housewives, and an alfred hitchcock episode), podcasts and video podcasts. It also grabs my calendars and contacts from outlook. Then, it fills up the remaining space with 700 pictures from my computer. The videos run beautifully. And how cool is it that Apple made the deal with NBC to sell their TV programs like 2 days before I get my iPod, so their selection went from like, 5 tv shows to an actual selection of videos available for $1.99 each.
On Wednesday evening, Kevin came over and we watched House of Wax and smoked. It was a pretty good movie. Kevin left to go to Alibi for $1 beer night, and I went to sleep. He said that he would be going out on Thursday.
Yesterday, I went to my optometrists office for the third time this week and picked up my contacts. I went after work to get my hair cut. My hair has a definite expiration date exactly 2 weeks after it is cut. It expired the weekend I was in Miami. So it was definitely past due. I went to Regis, where I always go, yet never have a consistent stylist. So I got my hair cut, then went across the street to Jamaican Me Brown and tanned for 20 minutes. Then I had to go to the grocery store to buy food and get some pasta salad to make for my work holiday party. I had completely forgot that it was today until yesterday...
Then I got home and made myself dinner. I was starving. I made my pasta salad and got that all ready. I had made the mistake of not buying 2 boxes. I don't know why I thought one would be enough, but it looked so small in the bowl I put it in. It was good though, I tried a spoonfull.
After the kitchen was cleaned up, I took a shower. Justin called me and asked for directions to Alibi, so I stayed on the phone with him until he got there. It was getting late, but I decided to go out anyways. I got to Alibi a little after midnight and it was pretty busy. Sean and Billy were outside, so was Justin, so I said hello to all of them, making my way to the door. Then I see Toby and say hi to him. He introduced me to his roommate, Robin.
I ran inside to get a drink and then back outside to sit down and chat with Toby and Robin. Then I danced for a bit, but they were playing really crappy music, I don't know why...?
Oh, so I saw Sean, who I have been talking to on Myspace, who has a boyfriend... I didn't introduce myself, cuz I wasn't quite sure if it was him, nor did I know if he was there with his boyfriend. I didn't see Kevin all night though...
Oh, and another strange thing...Keith... I was walking around with Toby, and he stopped to talk to this guy Brad, who used to cut hair at the mall. I was standing there, and this was in the back part of Alibi, where they have the dart boards. This guy was staring at me, and we briefly made eye contact. Then he said across the room, Do I know you? I know you... So, I went over to him, but I really had no idea who it was. Then he was like, did you used to date a guy named Matt? He had to have seen my expression change when he said that... But then I knew who he was. It was Matt's friend, Keith. He looked totally different, and I didn't know he was even 21. And honestly, I wouldn't have thought, even if I did know he was 21, that he would go out to Alibi.
(More)CSR: Today needs to be over. I'm so seriously ready to slit my wrists--
The phone rings.
CSR: Good afternoon. This is [Nelly], how can I help you? Oh...hi! How are you doing?...Oh, I'm great! Mm-hmm, yes, of course! I just have to pull up your previous order...Oh, really? Oh! Well, that's okay!...No, really!...Oh, stop it! Ha, ha! Okay, well thanks for calling anyway! Yes...Thank you, I will! You also, okay? M'kay, bye!...Jesus. Okay, so, what the fuck was I saying again?
Ooooh, my iPod is in Indianapolis! I just checked the shipping. They ship those bitches from Shanghai, China. Lol. Hopefully, I'll get it soon. I've been too long without one.
Well, I got a Christmas card from Brad and Erica. Actually, it was to Shane and I. But it made me force myself to sit down and do Christmas cards. That took a couple hours. I printed out pictures of the Swaying Palms decorations, of me, or Miami, and sent put everything in envelopes with cards. What a pain... lol. I also wrote my Grandma a Happy Birthday note.
(More)So, I had a pretty mundane week/weekend. My three day week went by quickly. On Thursday, I was supposed to go to Alibi. I told this kid I would be there, but then didn't feel very well. I've been fighting this cold thing off and on since I got back from Miami. I'm convinced I have Avian Bird Flu...
